It's great to see customer service like that.

I would check your stand to be sure it is in the same plane. A out of plane condition is what will split a seam, out of level, not as much.

Hope the transfer goes well for you. That's a lot of work.

What do you mean "in the same plane"?

Thanks for all the encouragement guys and it has really SUCKED to put it nicely ;) It's just a happy wrap up to such a crappy issue but if you would have talked to me this morning about it.. I was in a quitting mind set for sure.

Puh. You're not the quitting type. It sucks, but you have to take the good with the bad.

The same plane means that the top of the stand is perfectly flat, and the floor didn't shift, causing a twist in the stand.

Now that I went back and took a closer look at your stand, I would question the design of it. The tank is recessed into the stand, but the wood that the tank sits on should go all the way to the floor for full support. From the pictures, it looks like it doesn't.

I am in agreement there. The corners go all the way to the ground but the edges do not. Do you think there is a way to redo this stand or is buying or building a new one inevitably? I took pictures of the stand for the engineer at ML to show him today so I will be ready for him to say similar things... The LAST thing I want is for this brand new tank to meet the same fate because of the stupid stand that was yes custom built but NOT by me... Or anyone who knew this. Thanks btw for this bro, I want to make sure this is all set up right this time....

Is there any wood that is directly under the tank that goes to the floor? I don't see it in the pictures. Also, a plastic combo square isn't a good means to check for level. :p is the stand shimmed anywhere as it sits? Just trying to help. ;)

I used the 3 foot level silly goose ;) I just did that for the picture. But no it sits inside the lip which is supported by the outer bracing that makes contact with the floor... There were no shims used, we had some thing we may need them but made sure the stand was level before placing the tank and did not use them. And don't worry I need.. No I want your input :)

What's left of the MESS :(

So normally you share your bragging pictures of beautiful acros, and sexy healthy coral. This is reality people, sad but what is really going on with my reef right now. I'm not gonna lie... it sucks! My reef tank will be one year old in a week and a half... but now I am truly starting at square one. I am nursing coral back to health... before I can even think about growing and coloring stuff up. I still have not put sand back in here, I need the flow to be pretty intense. everything except a couple questionable pieces is now stable, minus the acro I lost one of the first days back in the 150, after the tub swap. So I warn you, what you are about to see is a sad sad sight LOTS of brown coral... but it will give you an idea of what I am dealing with. :shake-head:

Here's the sump, had to switch it around... and I am not using the snapper but instead rocking the "quiet one" in sump style, which is working great, and a lot more quiet.

****two of the worst off... the bottom hasn't had it's polyps out since I took it out of the leaking tank...
