This is in no way a reflection on gender, but I just don't see enough woman rocking out in this hobby. Which BTW, you are truly rocking out Heidi. :)

My gf seems so intimidated when it comes to certain things regarding taking care of the tank. Certain test kits, understanding what to look for and why etc. But she is getting better.

Congratz and much respect for you and your tank.

Thanks soo much! My favorite tank shape too. I was planning to have a big cube like this made. All of a sudden someone clues me in on this tank used and for sale on another forum! Score! I saved a ton of money buying used and there were only a few minor scratches on the bottom glass.

Dowtish, I will be the first to admit that it has got to be a gender thing. I have met a few maybe fiveish serious female reefers and Michigan has a huge forum presence. Most of the woman I meet are in because their hubby's/bfs got them into it. I personally am a bit of a biology and microbiology nerd :) and I love beautiful natural things.
Thanks for the encouragement and kind words!!

I have just started to look at all of you guys tank threads. Man is this site ever huge!!
