My toadstool sits very high in my tank and it seems to love it...it's enormous!

They can tolerate high light if you do it slowly. An abrupt change can cause some skin burns. I would start it lower in the tank and raise it slowly.

Not to hijack the thread...but, I have a related toadstool question...mine is high in the tank and growing like mad, but its base is on a small rock, that I suspect it would like to grow off of, or expand onto other rocks, but I have it wedged in (the rock) near the top of my tank so it kinda sits by itself, so the toadstool is essentially growing off of a pedastel (the small fist-sized rock being the pedastel). Should I try to nestle the rock in somewhere so that the base of the toadstool can grow off of it, or just let nature run its course?

I guess my question boils down to this: Do toadstools need to be given room to allow their bases to grow in circumference and diameter?
