Hello all, I have been into salt tanks for 10 yrs now, I've always had FOWLR and just recently decided to go to reef. I have an established 75 gallon with 2 blue tangs, 2 firefish, 10 turbo snails for the algae on my rocks, and a green chromis. I bought a Corallife 4 bulb T5 with 4 LED moonlights. Not sure about timing suggestions per bulb, per hours. Can someone please advise? Bought one mushroom and frag last night and the mushroom started to open up and is shining. Any feedback would be great.

    Welcome to 3reef

If you have a dawn/dusk control run them for 10 hours and run the daylight bulbs for 8 hours. Turn on the daylight bulbs one hour after the dawn/dusk bulbs and turn off one hour before the dawn/dusk bulbs. Run the moonlights when the dawn/dusk bulbs are off if you use them at all.

Thanks for the intro, I look forward to learning alot from this site. I don't have a timer yet but will be getting one. So the bulbs are never on at the same time it's always one or the other? Turn actinics on 10 hours, turn off 1 hour before using the whites for 8 hours, then turn off whites 1 hour prior to turning actinics back on? Wow that sounds complex lol. =)

Turn on actinics, turn on daylights 1 hour later, turn off daylights after 8 hours, turn off actinics 1 hour later.
