Hi im new to this website so i guess i should tell you a little about myself. I am currently a 16 year old highschool student. I have loved fish ever since i can remember. i started off with a small 3 gallon in my room with tropical and about 3 years ago purchased a 28 gallon. I had tropical but wanted to take the step up to saltwater about a year and a half ago. in that tank i have 3 clowns, an angel, royal gramma, 2 damsels and a coral banded shrimp. I have 3 corals and 1 anenome. My parents decided they would buy me a 125 gallon aquarium as an early christmas present. So i have the set up fine 2 overflows running into 1 tank below. all is good there. i put 100 pounds of sand in there and got the live rock yesterday. Heres my problem. I bought the live rock from this great dealer on the internet. Their called Justliverock and their based in Florida. They have great prices and very cool rock. the problem is my whole house now smells like a florida beach and my parents dont like it and i dont know what to do about the smell. If anyone can help i would love the advice.
    Thanks
    Brian

you are experiencing some die off within the rock. make sure you are running some filters containing carbon, keep good water flow in the tank, and change out water frequently. the smell will soon go away. use a plug it in!

It'll pass, plus, once they see your awesome corals, they'll forget about "smells".
