Hello Coral People

My name is Ryan Hemphill (username as well) and I'm interested in building my own reef. I have had aquariums before but I never took on anything ambitious. Now that I have seen the scope of owning one (to some degree), I recognize that I'm going to need to get as much book and community education that I can.

I am specifically interested in corals - creating a coral reef is my goal and I am looking forward to starting once I'm settled into my new home, about 3-5 months from now.

I have been looking at different wave generators, pumps and all kinds of crazy ideas - very exciting to a nerd such as myself.

Anyone having links of what they thought provided the best education in a particular marine subject, please let me know!

welcome to 3reef! I think there is a starting your saltwater thread on here - perhaps in the new to the hobby section. there are many other very good threads available on this site. My advice is read, read, and then read some more!
