Hello Everybody

Hey everyone!

My name is Evan, I'm 23 and in University for a masters in Architecture

I've been in the aquarium hobby for about 10 years now, I've had everything from bettas to planted freshwater to salt water reefs. I recently got rid of my last reef tank because I decided to move a away and go back to university. I've been reefless for about a year now and I want to get back in to it.

I've actually scored a couple setups for free (20 gallon everything but a stand, and a 25 gallon bow front with everything including fish). I became good friends with one of my apartment managers, and whatever aquarium stuff thats left behind when tenants move out......well lets just say he knows where to bring it

So I currently have the 25 gallon setup with the fish that were given (freshwater) until I can gather all my equipment for my reef.

I will start a build thread when I get closer to switching over the 25 gallon.

I lugged an aquarium around with me all through college and private school. It was not a reef but it was something.

Are you going to Cal Poly by any chance?

No, I'm going to St. Lawrence Tech in Detroit. I actually live in Windsor, Ontario, Canada but it a border town to Detroit so I commute everyday. It's only about 15-20 min drive from my apartment so its not bad. Just sometimes the lines at the border can be a bit annoying lol

 

Yeah I just gave up my tank to move. Waiting waiting waiting for the right house to open up. Sooo I have an empty 10 gallon I did not give up, I am seriously thinking of goldfish at this point (not that there is anything wrong with goldfish). The current house is silent without the hum of light fans, gurgle of over flows, it just not right I tell ya.

i no how u feel, ive been living here for about 6 months now without a tank and i was so happy to get the fish that came with the tank and the humming, i cant live without.
