Hello everyone! I am back and running and the tank is doing good!! To refresh everyone memory... Back in December January ish.. We had an issue with bryopsis and sadly we had to re-start our system.. We started the process of re-doing our system in January and added the last little fish at the end of March beginning of April.. We re-did the whole system.. changed our filtration system and got more LR. Now our tank is running wonderfully, I will post pics tomorrow once everyone is awake! We did run into some issues like cyno but they cyno is now on its way out.. We only have a small section of it left on the back side of the tank.. We will have to adjust our power heads so we get more flow back there.. During the re-do we unfortunately lost some crabs and 2 snails and our damsel.. He committed suicide.. We came home from school and found him on the floor dried up... He must have jumped.. Other than that everyone else made it threw the change.. In June we decided to get a long tentacle anemone just to see if we could have one survive. We tried them in the past but no luck.. So we tried it and it lived.. Lived tell it ate our 6 line wrasse in August... I was sooo bummed.. I loved my wrass.. I had my husband take care of the anemone.. Im not sure what he did with it..? all i know is that I came home from my friends house and it was out of the tank.. So our $7 anemone coasted us our $20 fish and I hope that meal was worth it!! Anyway.. I am glade to be back on track and back posting on 3reef!! Currently our system is as follows..
26gal tank, phosban reactor, aqua c remora skimmer, wet dry filtration with bial bale, compact fluorescent lights (just changed bulbs in sept), 27lb LR, chaetomorpha algae (in our wet dry to help with cyno), 2 clowns, royal gamma, fridmans dottyback, green flower pot, lots of blue and red lagged hermit crabs, one nassarius snail, and finally 3 astraea snails.
Well I am glade to be back!! Talk to you guys later!
