Negril Is The Resort Area.. Pretty Far

Kingston is the capitol of Jamaica and as you know, in cities, there are places you should not venture after a certain hour of the night. However, within the major areas of kingston everything is fine. 8)

    About the resorts....

The resorts are good in some way, for instance, if you have a family. Wife, couple of kids, the mother in law.... well... I'd stay at the resorts so that everyone can find something to do and you won't have to worry about all the little nitty gritty such as feeding the kids. However you are just limited to the resort and it's entertainment. However, if you're single or it's just you and your wife/girlfriend, then going to see the island is a bit more fun if you have some good friends down here. Pretty much like the Negril strip except on a larger scale. 8)

Exciting... I have only been down with Scuba gear twice and it was in the same week.

My wife's cousin lives in Key Largo. She used to be an instructor and still has all the gear.

She gave me a lesson one day at the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the next day we went to the Dry Tortugas.

Didn't have much luck with our disposable underwater camera's

Love to see some of your pics.

    Glad to have ya...

Well... errr.. yeah.. A Few Places In Kingston But You Need A Boat..!

Yup you have a few places in Kingston where some folks go in the buff..! Mostly alot of thoses itty bitty polka dot bikini's. However, you kinda need a boat to get to them cuz most people in the buff prefer their privacy and you really won't get that hanging out on the public beach. (It's a good thing i've got the boat too) ;) The picture with the villas is Port Antiono and the other one is Hellshire Beach in Kingston (Public Beach)

    Yup Thoses Disposable Moments.. :-(

I had one of those unfortunate moments too! Those disposable cameras really don't take good pictures.. very grainy and they can't take the water pressure of diving either! Now I use an Olympus 720 for snorkling and a Nikon Digital SLR with housing & strobes to take really professional underwater pictures. I'll post a couple of em later on but at the moment I'm heading to TinFury's House, He just got back with some mushrooms! Whooo hooo! :cheesy:

    Forgot to mention!

My brother and I use to attend Coral Reef Elementary School in Miami Florida.. that was years ago when kids use to go swimming in the canals! Yup way back in the early 70's when all the canal waterways were the water was crystal blue! Oh yeah... I use to go to Diving and Fishing in the Keys.. I still have some old photos of us down in the Keys..! Have to scan those pictures cause back then ... no digital camera was around hehehehe.. On school trips we use to go to John Pennecamp too... Small world huh! :cheesy:

I just love Jamaica.....Yeah... no swimmin' in the canals anymore LOL only cars and trucks swim in there now, which is a shame. We go to the canal off Griffin Ave in Ft Lauderdale a lot and that water is nasty. The manatees swin all the time in it, but it can't be good for them. Hey pm the name of some of the naked resorts on your side of the island, were looking to go down during christmas or new years again this year.
