Hi everyone I just started a 30 gallon tank, its been set up for about 2 months now and I decided it was time to post some pictures.

    Things working on:
-I am working on getting rid of all the small blue rocks since they are ugly and dumb!
-I just bought a bigger filter (Penguin 200 power filter) since the old one is a little weak and I found this filter for only $30.
-I have just added 1 extra piece of live rock 4 days ago so algae has just bloomed in the tank. (you will notice its the brown piece on the left.)
-Once I get the base rock in stock (should be by next week) I am kicking the car out, even though I think it looks cool and the clown fish seem to love it.:p

Other then that I hope everyone likes what I got going and it works out well!

    The People:
    2 Clown fish
    1 Peppermint Shrimp
    around 5-7 hermit crabs
around 6 snails 2 turbo and i forgot the names of the others
    1 chocolate chip starfish

    The Setup:
    30 gallon tank
    1 maxi jet 1200
    30" Coralife 2x65w lights
150 penguin filter (which will be switching to the 200 by next week)
    200w Heater

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions.
    THANKS!
    ~Matt

Very nice, if you are going to have corals you will need to get rid of the starfish, it is not reef safe.

+1 to the starfish.. I didnt believe it so during a fragging I did a clip of a polyp to see what the star would do.. It was gone in 12 hours..

    Great Looking Tank though..

    welcome to 3 reef mattmatt50

for some reason Im only seeing the red crosses so cant comment on pictures
but can also vouch for a chocolate chips ability to digest bits of corals

Welcome to 3reef ... in my opinion the BEST forum... I love your set-up but please remember that the starfish is NOT reefsafe..
I had my old lfs sell me one, claiming it's ok but I had very bad experience with it!!
Anyway all the best to you ;D

Hello everyone and thanks for the nice welcome. Also thanks for the input about the starfish I will keep that in mind once my tank is fully up and running and ready for some coral. From reading the forums slower is always better so I will stick to that rule.
