Hi everyone. Total fish noob here. I took the plunge and bought a 90g tank a couple weeks ago. It was about 3 weeks earlier than I was planning to start buying stuff, but there was a really good sale that I couldn't pass up. The tanks been cycling for 1.5 weeks give or take and seems to be doing well...I think.

Starting to see some signs of life, a tiny white worm looking thing retracted into the rock yesterday as I passed a flashlight across it. Also seeing the development of what looks like is going to be some sort of feather dusters or something. And lastly, there's a soft looking lump that I think is in a different spot than it was yesterday! Not 100% on that one, but I think it moved.

I also have 3 dalmation Mollys that a friend brought over last weekend to get things going. I thought it was too soon, but couldn't say no after he drove over 1/2 hour to bring them. He has several nice looking tanks so hopefully he knows what he's talking about.

Anyways, just a quick hi, really enjoying the site and learning a ton!

    Cheers

There is a small shell that seems to be moving around the sand bed, that's pretty exciting!

Also, my wife spotted what I think is some type of bristle worm (looked like a caterpillar sort of, white and spiky) moving underneath a rock. It was about 2" long already.

And also there is some sort of orange something growing. It seems to be forming into little stalks on one of the rocks...

Very cool stuff, and just the beginning.

Well, life is carrying on in the tank! There's a small shell moving around the sand bed on occasion, albeit very slowly! The fish seem good, although the older male is really bullying the smaller male, thinking of getting rid of him.

Have seen what I think is a bristle worm a couple times now.

A small, clear/pinkish star of some type on a piece of rock.

There are many soft, white lumps of some kind. They're hollow tubes that you can see straight down the middle of from the right angle. I thought them to be a sponge perhaps, but really am not sure.

Quite a few feather dusters popping up here and there.

Very cool stuff, really liking it.
