    welcome to 3reef steve. looks like youre gonna have a nice slice of your reef there. 2 small things, you might want stronger lights for your coral , and dont do any water changes until your cycle is complete. i look forward to updates. cheers mate

    So you guys don't like the PC globes? I hope its enough light, i'll try out a small mushroom towards the top of the tank first. The sand bed is only about 6 or 7 inches from the top of the tank so hopefully on the rocks the light will be ok. But if not, I dont recall seeing a fixture for T5's or something that is less than 20 inches? My tank is 18" wide.

    actually you know what, i took 40 as gallons not litres. so its roughly a 10 gal , your lighting could just do the trick then
