Hi, I am very very new in this. just bought my first ever tank (marine tank BTW) and getting it ready to bring home my babies Poseidon and Apollo in 10 days. Two gorgeous seahorses.;D

The only thing I have in the tak ATM is live rock builting and creating the media for my babies. In the live rock I have bought lst saturday came in it 3 small crabs. Are they harmful for the seahorses????

Well...I hope to hear from you.

    ;)

Welcome to 3reef!. You will want to remove the crabs from the tank. As if the seahorses get sick. They will become very quick food to the crabs. Replace them with various snails :).

Welcome to 3reef! Good to see another local.
Joining here was possibly the best thing I've done for my tank, sooo much good and helpful information.
Good luck with the seahorses! :)

    Welcome to 3reef.

There are some excellent threads on sea horse husbandry if you do a search.

Congrats on getting the new babies, just make sure everything is adequately cycled and you have a larger than normal biological filter because you will be feeding a lot.

I am adding these link in case you have not seen them. Member rayjay is a very good resource for sea horses.
