    Hello to everyone out there from Buffalo NY. Started a redsea max back in Feb 08 - it's going great. So good that now I got the bug to build one of my own - and therefore joined 3reef.com to learn from those with more experience than I have. Thing that I could use some help and direction on is metal halide lighting. I want to illuminate a 33 gallon or 40 gallon long tank that i would like to populate some with some sps and clams. Any insight would be appreciated.

    Either tank is 48 inches long, 12 inches wide, and either 12 inches or 16 inches deep.
