    Hey guys just figured I would stop by and introduce myself for my first post, my name is Zach and I reside in Columbus, Ohio. I currently have a 20 gallon FOWLR tank that I have had for 5 years and now currently looking to upgrade to a 150 gallon tank.

    After all of my research so far I am not convinced I am certain I know the best place and way to buy my new tank. I thought going to the LFS and buying it would be my best option but after looking around at my LFS they seemed to be very over priced, or I could just be ignorant when it comes to pricing fish tanks. I would appreciate and advice and or direction. Thanks guys!!

    (P.S. if any of my acronyms, location of my post, or anything else is off please let me know, I am new to the site and trying to learn as much as I can!)

    Hey, welcome to 3reef Zach. :)

    Have you tried Craigs List? I have found great deals numerous times. Also look at MarineDepot.com.

    If you go for Craigs List, make sure the tank is structurally sound. Also join a local reef club, you'll get the best deals there.

    Not sure your budget but if you want a really nice tank Glasscages.com has a hub in Columbus and they make some nice tanks.

    I have been keeping my eye out for tanks of CL but I can not locate anyone selling a 150 gallon tank in my area. Plus as you mentioned they could have leaks, so that kind of scares me a little bit. So I think I will shop around a little bit more before i decide to buy one.
    I have also checked out the MarineDepot and that website is amazing!! Thanks for your post!! :)
