Hello from Illinois

    Name is Madlyn. I have enjoyed saltwater tanks since 2007 so I am fairly new at the hobby. I currently have a 125 gal. FOWLR tank. I recently tore down my sump in order to improve it. The fish I have are: 3 pajama cardinalfish, 2 percula clownfish, 1 panther grouper, 1 Tomini tang, 1 Blue hippo tang and 1 enormous green brittle star. I call it "octopus". My tank also contains live rock (kind of), and live sand.
    I have a 40 gal long glass aquarium as my sump. My equipment is an ASM G-3 protein skimmer, heater and return pump. With redoing my sump I placed baffles between protein skimmer area and return pump area. I have also added a 12" wide refugium with mud and rubble rock and handful of caulerpa.
    My plan is to get tank running efficiently. Add corals that are adaptable to tank. I do have some questions about my skimmer and the refuge. Should I ask those in a different thread?
    Look forward to learning and getting to know "the family" in 3reef.;D

    yeah questions if you can post in relavent forums that would be good as many people may not pay attention to specifics in the "Say Hello" section

    there is a skimmer section on the site and a Fuge section - just scroll down main page and you will find it easy
