Hello from Iowa

I have a 40 tank with a sump and a 20 gallon home made fuge. The tank has been running since March. I have a few softies, a coral banded shrimp and a brittle star, 2 crabs and about 20 snails and thats it. I want to get a couple of fish but I have been waiting out the algae blooms and making sure that all the parameters stay perfect.
I haven't been able to decide what fish I want. Looking at clowns, bangaii cardinals or just plain old 4 stripe damsels. I really like black and white fish.
I live in a tiny little SE Iowa town so everything has to be flown in which is why I have been taking my time.
I am not very good at this picture thing so hopefully they will come through.

Hi, I am a Newport, Oregon transplant which is one reason why I have this aquarium (Really miss the ocean out my back door.)

 

Thank you for the welcomes!! I have a lot to learn so will be reading, reading, and reading for a while.

 

Spend lots of time at the coast, Im in SE Portland actually we hit the coast at least half a dozen tinmes a year- We actually just went to the Coastal Aquarium in Newport last month for the first time-I wanted to make sure all the hype from "keiko" was over-LOL
