    the aeration of the tap water used to be done to allow the clorine added by the utilities to dissipate, now they use cloramine which is more stable and lasts longer before they have to re-dose it but the aeration wont remove it. This makes an RO/DI unit configured with the proper carbon block filters a must as they can remove this chemical from the water

    Updated first post again to include a couple more pics. Does anyone know what the green hermit crab is called? It seems to be nocturnal (I found it while tide pooling at night, and I rarely see it in my tank by day). It has a black segment with white dots above each claw (can't see that in the picture).
