I stumbled across this site and decided all you members may be able to help me. I have recently become the reluctant (but now enthusiastic) owner of a 110 gal. tank. I bought "Aquariums for Dummies", visited my LFS, and surfed the net til my fingers bled. I have live rock with critters, a black sea urchin, 2 blue tangs, a foxface (he's a riot!), a clown, and a yellow one of undetermined origin. One starfish that I see occasionally, a lawnmower blenny, and a possible goby. Everyone is eating like crazy and I've tested the water, checked and replaced filter pads and such. Everything seems to be coming along. I have not done a water change yet- I've had the tank 2 weeks. How am I doing so far? Anything I should be doing? Thanks in advance!

First, welcome to 3reef. Your tank has been up only for 2 weeks??? and you have that much livestock? Your lfs told you that you could do this? Luna

ok was this a used setup???? Was the tank already established????? If not (and I'm not trying to be rude) you should start pulling critters from that tank, taking them back to the lfs, and telling the people there that you are a newbie and it's a flippin shame that they would even BEGIN to sell you livestock for that tank before it's cycled. You are doing a good job by researching but it's way too soon to have that much livestock in that tank. If it was established, then you are doing the right thing researching and finding out the best way to take care of your new little buddies.

welcome to 3reef, and yes those wings do rule! i only got to watch the first 2 games of the series but i have to say i have never seen a team dominated that severely, and its not like pitt was playing poorly either,,all phases of the game, especially the backcheck, detroit was just dominant,, if i'm not mistaken in game 1 pitt went a period and a half without a shot on goal!

BTW- it was a last minute move of an established tank (an friend was moving out of state). We had it torn down and back up in 2 hours, moving all the existing water in two 55 gallon new garbage cans. We did lose one angelfish the next morning, but everyone else survived.

sounds like you're good to go. how long was the tank set up at your friend's house before you took it over? How 'bout some pics?
