so me and my husband have been lurking this site for a little while, we currently have two brackish tanks [30gallon and a 20 gallon] one with a green spotted puffer in it and the other with a figure 8 puffer & a molly in it, and a 5.5 tank with snails breeding in it [food for the puffers lol].
the 30 gallon has an emporer400 filter on it and the 20 gallon has an under gravel filter. neither are on proper stands, the 30 is on an electric fireplace in the corner that we dont use, and the 20 is on some cinder blocks/wood.
we have a 75 gallon [with a 20 long for the sump] that is far from being set up, we need to make the sump/refugium, fix the SCWD that came with the tank, get a skimmer, make a stand/hood, get lights...
building a new stand because i dont think this one looks that sturdy, its made of particle board. Its like its coming apart on the inside because of the condensation. All these tanks were preused before we got them. The 30 gallon has been set up since July this year and the 20&5.5 since September of this year. I am trying to figure out the macro setting on our camera and everytime i try it they come out worse than the regular setting lol.
here are some pictures of the tanks we have [warning- lots of plastic decorations lol]:

forgot to mention that we named the green spotted puffer Sylar, because when we first got him we had guppies and he killed ALL of them and their fry lol. [Sylar from the tv show Heroes]

    Hi and welcome to 3reef!
Nice to see you planning on setting up a marine tank in the not so distant future!
Then you can add a marine Puffer to your repertoire...hahahhaha
Good luck and hope you enjoy it here!

thanks! in the 75 gallon tank we want to put two clownfish [trying to find onyx perculas], a yellow headed jawfish, a flame hawkfish, maybe some green chromies. We would like to put some corals in this tank too [not sure on which ones still figuring out whats what in that department]. Our next tank [will be much bigger than the 75 not sure how many gallons yet maybe 150?] when we get a bigger house we will make it a more aggressive tank and move the hawkfish to that, get a puffer, and who knows what else to go in it. so we can put shrimp in the 75 [heard the hawkfish will eat them so we'll add them when he's outta there lol]
