Hello from Okinawa, Japan

Jeff here from Okinawa, Japan. A little about me, just rounded the 10 year mark serving in the USAF; currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Love it! Got started in the aquatic hobby about 3 years ago with a 10 gallon FW tank, to learn about tanks, species, and plants. After about 8 months I dove into the reef world, and I haven't looked back since. I had a 80 gallon setup that I designed from scratch. Read a ton of articles, lots of books and designed the whole system (I love to tinker). The 80 gallon system comprised of a 55 gallon display tank, CPR overflow, AquaC EV120 protein skimmer, Phosban reactor, 2x MP40's, current T5 lights, and other misc components. Unfortunately I had to tear down the tank after 2 years of successful reef keeping because of a temporary move back to the states for 8 months. Reef bug bite me hard, and now I'm in the preliminary design stage of a 225g system. Love this hobby and learning about micro- and macro- marine life and their ecosystem.
