Here's the tank this evening after I checked the PH, ammonia and the nitrate levels ... I'm already excited and I hardly have anything in it. [IMG]

where did you purchase htat live rock? it looks very dense and that means it takes up more water volume than it should. and thats the last thing you want in a tank as small as this. you want the most water volume possible.

Lol no are u ready a red mandarin. The thing about is he eats and IMO looks healthy but everyday I look wondering when he wont come out so not a good fish to keep. And only way to get him out is takein out all the rock. Witch I'm currently debating. I had sixline and loved it so definitely a a wrasse that fits you will love instead of the mandarin

do you feed him pods or does he eat frozen? or does he eat only off of the live rock? how long have you had him? if hes only eating off the rock i would at least supplement with pods or else hell devestate your tanks pod population, maybe even get rid of it.

LPS sold it to me ... I wasn't really keen on it but I guess I wanted to get things going. Should I swap it out with something else?

I supply heavy amount of pods to tank and got a great population going he is also now starting to eat rods food. And have had it going on two months But for someone just starting don't get this fish I'm thinking of rehomein mime and on going to have tl stress and take out all rock to do so. So dont get one.

heres what i suggest doing, order from here

25 Pound box Key Largo Rock, Pre Cured and Free Shipping *in the continental US*

25lbs. premium key largo dry rock for 62 bucks! add that and leave it in the tank for a while with the live rock. then that should get the dry rock all established with some critters and algae then take that crap live rock out. haha

Florida Reef Rock (30lbs - Free Shipping)

or this is a good place 30lbs. dry base rock for 65 bucks. im going to have to say i prefer the look of the marco rock because they have more options for rock, i ordered some premium shelf rock for my nano and it looks fantastic for any type of scape, rock wall or minimalist. it looks good anywhere not just under high quality live rock like the reefcleaners. but i have ordered from both and was satisfied both times. keep in mind marcorocks also sells live rock.
