Hello From So-cal

Welcome to 3reef! I'm here in the Riverside/Corona area, however I am President of the Souther California Marine Aquarium Society (the reef club that meets on Orange County and puts on Reef-A-Palooza). Feel free to call on me or our club for any questions that you may have. What city are you in?

You are aware that 12% of the US pipulation resides in CA?

You are aware that Souther Cali is a major hub for this industry?

Most of the live goods come in through LAX.

In Orange County, CA it is very common to find 5 LFS's in a 1 mile radius and many are regarded as the best in the country!

Orange County is home to the highest attended marine aquarium shows in the US (Reef-A-Palooza #1 and MAX usually ranked #2 or #3). 2 big reasons to love reefing in Cali!

Did you know that many of the aquarium related companies call Cali their home?

Still a ways to go. October 20-21 MAX however is right around the corner coming up March 31 - April 1.

 

Oh very cool! Are there good deals? Where is it located?

 

Both events are at Orange County Fair and Exposition Center Bldg 18 in Costa Mesa CA. Both events have educational speakers. Good deals are to be had at both events. Also the swag bags tend to be packed with free goodies.

 

Good deal on the last day.. I guess something to do with vendors not wanting to repack their inventory including corals.
