Just thought I would say hello! I just joined today and I am also a newbie to saltwater. I did freshwater for about 10 years and switched over the beginning of August. I bought a used 150 gallon. Yes, it's a beast of a starter tank! I have a really great LFS who has been giving me some guidance. It's going to be a reef tank. I've got about 100 pound of live rock and I am still keeping my eyes open for a couple of additional pieces. I am addicted to this hobby already! ;D

Thanks everybody! Tank is up and running so no leaks. I did that test before I took it from the guy I bought it from. :) I am having a hard time controlling myself from buying a lot at time! The whole setup looks great and is running great. I checked all the params yesterday and just low on calcium - I think my coraline is about to take off. I just want corals!! Holy cow they can be pricey!! Just have to pace myself. ;)

Just make sure you slow down, this is the point where a lot of people make a mistake and get in a hurry. That's the ones you see selling their set ups on ebay because they have problems that they can't deal with.
This hobby is not a race nor a piece of furnature that you slap in the house.
It will give you pleanty of year of enjoyment if you give it time to grow. Just like Matt say's "Go slow and let it grow" ;D
