    Hi everyone,

    First of all, great site!!. So much good information and friendly people.

    Me and my wife purchased a 55 gallon in 2003 and she successfully maintained a reef for 3 years. I say she maintained because at the time I was in the Army( 11B for my fellow veterans) and didn't have any time for the upkeep myself. In 2006 we moved from Chicago back to our home state and lost everything during the move. I beileve the reason was because of a cheap heater with no thermostat control so it pretty much cooked everything. So the tank sat in a shipping crate for almost 3 more years and I convince my wife and myself to give it another shot.

    Here is the tank in 2006.

    Thanks Luna, I loved my time in the service. Ten years active duty got out as a Sergeant. Tour in Cuba (2001), Iraq (2003-2004), Korea (2006-2007). Last day was 26 December 2007, and I miss it very much. I enjoy being with my wife and kids too much to go back though.
