Hello everybody....My wife and I just started up a 75g saltwater tank. We plan on doing a reef setup. The tank had been up and running for 7 weeks now and so far so good. Its so HARD to be patient to start putting stuff in, but had to wait. We started with a All Glass aquarium because of the great warrenty they have. I had a SW tank about 10 years ago ,but it was just 20gal. So not much room there.

Tanks is being ran by a FX5 filter with carbon for now. I know some of you like it and some dont, but its what I have to use. I think its been doing a oretty good job. We have about 75lbs of rock in the tank. We bought dead dry rock just to make sure we didnt get any litte creatures on the live rock. The substrate is crush coral and argolite (sp). The light at the moment is a PC with 4 65w lights. Im not real happy with the light at the moment sense I want more blue in the tank. I would like to go 12-15k and a 460nm blue soon. Was thinking of buying the apallo leds for this setup.

The fish in the tank after 2 weeks we put 2 damsels and then 2 clowns the next week. We have a now a CUC and we just bought a powder blue tang 2 days a ago. The tang is so happy in this tank. The store had him for 1 month and looked healthy so we took a shot at it. We also put in a condylactis anemone as our first one sense they are so cheap. Looks to be doing fine.

All the levels in the tank are at 0 so we are done cycleing. That is the reason we bought the tang. So far we are loving it and stare at the tank for sometime at night just watching whats going on.

What type of rocks do you have? The red rocks look like Lava rocks which are bad for the tank since they can leak copper into the tank. if my suspession (sp?) is correct you may want to replace them. check out ReefCleaners.org | Clean Up Crews and Macro Algae, Bulk Reef Supply or Macro Rocks for good quality dry rocks.

    Welcome Aboard.
