Started My tank about a month ago, once levels were good went ahead and started with my first fish, and a few days later went ahead and gave it a shot with a green anemone, and 2 little hermit crabs, things seem to be going already. In a previous thread, talked about my coralife light system going out, so I went ahead and picked up a new Giesemann 1x150 halide system with a megachrome coral light.

    Info on the tank:
    50g SW tank
Pro Clear Wet/Dry Sump w/8lbs live rock rubble
Prizm Protein Skimmer on the Sump
    Overflow box
    koralia #4 and #3 powerheads
    40lbs live sand
28lbs live rock in the tank
    Giesemann 1x150 halide

    Onto the Pics:

I plan on filling the sump with a lot more live rock rubble as I get the time, and then slowly but surely getting about another 25-30lbs of live rock for the tank itself. And eventually replacing the prizm skimmer with another better in sump skimmer, but slowly but surely only a month into it and have spent way more the estimated, but hey its always the fun part in a hobby SPENDING! lol

Great setup but are you sure that it has cycled completely? Maybe a "little" early to add the anemone.

The tank has cycled threw, and all the levels are good with no changes since. It is a little risky on the anemone, but the girlfriend really wanted to, and the clown seemed a little lonely at first and not doing much, but has became very lively since the anemone has been introduced, But with that said, Im not afraid to pull him from the tank if I start seeing any shrinking signs or things going wrong with him before he releases toxins into the tank. If I start to think the tank isnt ready my lfs has a great trade in program to work with and sure he will go back to blossoming there to.

As far as everyone else, thanks for the kind words, and Yes I notice the budget/endless money situation I love it, because I love to spend the girlfriend on the other hand....:-/ lol

ok just making sure you know, didn't mean to pry. Some people have great luck with anemone's in new tanks so don't be discouraged by my post. I would have probly killed the anemone if i put in my tank after a month.
