    Greetings all.....
I ran freshwater for over 20 yrs. and decide when my 72 bow broke and couldn't find the parts to repair it too venture into the saltwater community. I purchased a used 125 gallon Oceanic Reef Tank and I also saved the live rock that cam with the tank. I saved enought water from the original setup to keep the rocks alive in totes with power heads until it was time to add them to the tank again. I am reading and learning on about 4 reef forums including this one. I purchased a Eshopps 150 Wet/Dry Filter and 4 stage RO/DI filter and filled the tank ( Can't wait for the wife to see the water bill for that month ....LOL ). My salinty is 1.024, currently added rocks to tank to begin the cycling. I have 2 36" AqauticLife T5 Fixtures but will add 2 more later on when I decide to start learning corals. So that's where I am now after about 3 months. Look forward to learning and reading from everyone here. Here are a couple pics of what I am working on.....

Sounds like your off to a great start .Looks great and thats a great size tank to start with!
Any ideas on what fish you want..With a 125 you have a lot of options. At 3 months of running empty and cured rock i'd say your ready for some fish:D

3 months since I purchased the tank....spent a couple weeks buffing small scratches out of glass ( some of the bigger ones wouldn't come out ).It has only been running with the rocks for about 4 days. Working a lot of overtime and working a house we bought to remodel and rent. I pretty much don't have any free or fun time. But this is one thing that does relax me. I am starting out small since I have never tried salt water before 2-3 Tangs, 2-3 Damsels, and 2-3 Clowns probably just to get me running and can figure out my water parameters adding a couple fish every 3-4 weeks to see how they do.

LA/DD is hands down the best place to get your fish IMO..
I won't dare get fish from any other place anymore ..DD(Divers Den) has a great QT and treatment process before even selling the fish or coral..Watch the vids they have up of tours of the facility ,very interesting and cool stuff.

Thank you Billme I am not completely happy with it, I will probably buy a few more and re-construct it with a little larger openings.
