    Hi all!

I'm just getting back into the hobby after a 3 year break. We moved and had a few kids and I'm just now getting a tank up again. Right now I've got a 10g nano with some LR and a clown. I'm getting everything together to set up a 54g corner. I'm having a canopy built by a local guy and I've got a 250w HQI retro for it. Because I have small kids (3,5,6 &14 yrs old) I want to go sumpless. I do not want the kids touching the water. My wife also has ferrets that run loose in the house and they would definately get into it somehow.
Anyway, I'm planning on using an AquaC Remora with a DIY surface skimmer and a Bio-System Power Filter with a surface skimmer for filtration. I chose the bio system specifically for the surface skimmer and the clear top. I hope to take out the filter media and pack it with cheatto. I'm also considering switching to the old Aquaclear Refugium Mod.
I realize these HOB refugiums are too small to do what I really need, but at the moment I don't have a choice. This canopy will have 2 narrow openings on the back for HOB filters. Even an Aquafuge is too long.
I also read the thread about turf scrubbers. I guess haning one inside my canopy and using a small pump to run water to a screen hanging over the display wouldn't be horrible.
I'll start a tank thread somewhere once I have something to post pics of.
If anyone has any ideas for filtration or experience with a corner tank any advice would be appreciated.
