Thanks. So do you think i should stay with the 2 and 2 bulb combo? I like this one cause it's the only 4x31 watt fixture i can find. I dunno if the 4x24 watt fixtures would be ok as well. I'm also running to 50 gallon aquaclear HOB right now. I took out all the media and filled them both up with live rock rubble with the sponge on top of the rubble. I was thinking of taken those off and replacing them with a small cpr auqafuge. It only hold 2.5 gallons. Do you think a fuge that small would make that big of a difference in my tank?

Personally I would stay with the 4 bulb. There are many different types of bulb configuration options. Try doing a search on this forum T5 lighting you may get a better idea.

No not for the money. Those fuges are a lot more expensive than the HOB. I had a 6 gal CPR fuge on my 28 gal and it did not really make a difference.

If you are thinking of growing some chaeto or other algaes it might be a better idea, but you can mod the HOB for algae as well.
