    Buy ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH test kits. Get the liquid kind. Test your water before adding more fish. The Jack Dempsey and Green Terror will need at least a 55 gallon tank in a few months to be happy and healthy.

    Oh my, do not mix salt in your Cichlid tank please! Also, you have to pick either the dempsey or the green terror.... not both! They will beat each other up pretty quickly. How long has your tank been set up? Ph is a likely culprit with cichlids, the hardness of the water is as important as salinity is for salt water fish. What kind of substrate do you use? Is there any cover? How much and how often are you feeding them? Is there anything else in the tank? Good luck
