What kind of light do you have on the tank? You could get a piece of gray pvc slightly bigger and twice as long for it to hide in, if your concerned about it. Gray is better than white because it doesn't reflect as much light into the pipe.

It's been a while now and he definitely has become more active. He comes out and hangs for a while now.. Such a fun creature. I think I will always keep one from now on. The lighting for the tank 7- 3w cheapy eBay LEDs and driver. I throw some zoos and frogspawn in there and they're thriving!! He eats jumbo dried krill eagerly and gets live treats weekly.
@clonefarmer, yes this is the one they had at aqua dreams. He finally let it go..

 

In that first picture he looks like he's winding up to bust that glass!!
