Hello need help

I buy this liverock today with all this coral but the guy dont tell me the names someone can tell me the names thank and i in emergency mode rock is to big for my 10 gallon y have to do a 26 gallon i have a home i use biospiro from my lfs she say with that coral go to be ok tank is up and running whit live sand my lfs give me and 20 gallon of water and biospiro and i have to take out my mushrooms and my montipora

 

You do not want that rock, it's covered in pest anemones called Majano and the Brown Palys become invasive as well. It has one nice coral, what looks like a Ricorda but the rest of the corals are too invasive and the Majano will spread fast is given the right amount of food. I would take the rock back and the will solve all the problems. Put the rock in a bucket of saltwater and return it or wrap it in news paper.

I made the same error many a times when I was a newer hobbyist. In my mind all corals were cool, but some are not trust me.

Unfortunately some/a few local fish stores give bad advise and sell items that are not in you or your tanks best interest. Best to shop/browse and then consult the forum and then buy. Your better off with the two corals you took out than the rock in my opinion. I guess you're going to have to stick it in the 29 gallon, I doubt any of the corals will die off, the Ricordia vs Yuma might unfortunately but a cycle usually does not kill Palys or Majano unfortunately.

My 2 cents. I would find a different LFS.

 

Don't feel bad it happens, and it's happened to me.

 

It has happened to me as well. Hence my 2 cents. An LFS near me had some bad advice which I took, pre-3Reef, and I have never darkened their doorway since. Actually just fixed a problem today that LFS gave me.
