Thanks for the advice everyone, I have been reading many books and looking on line. There are several LFS that I have been to and pelted them with questions, but I have made purchase in return. The problem is the more I ask and learn the more questions I have. That is why I love this hobby. I have already made mistakes, some costly. I think with help from 3reef I can minimize that.

    Welcome MoneyPit...

I did something right when I started gathering items from my LFS and ONLINE FS. Keep a folder with all of your receipts. It's neat looking back 7 or 8 years later.

Sometimes the receipt is the only thing that links to the memory of lost ones. I had a tragic event several years back.

I look forward to conversing with you.

Keeping a photo journal also will provide great enjoyment in seeing how your tank develops.

As beautiful as it is today, it will be more so tomorrow.

Is one of the major features of this hobby that makes it so facinating.

    Good Luck!

    Keep us posted.

(And of course, post up some pics! ;) )

    Enjoy,

    Scott :)
