    Hi there,

How is everyone? I'm enjoying the sunshine outside and the cool air conditioning inside with my aquarium. Sometimes it's hard to choose where to be! ;)

I've always had an affinity for aquatic things. I grew up catching crayfish and Trout in the creek behind my childhood home. I started my first aquariums there. I've been keeping freshwater tanks for over 30 years and Marine/Reef aquariums for the last 10 years. I really enjoy the hobby. All though I am good with marine chemistry and some coral husbandry. My expertise is fish. I remember the first time I swam in the ocean. It's started a fascination with it for me. I love watching science programs and diving features on television and the big screen.

I have a friend who actually owns an old steel tank(diving(air)tank that is), that belonged to Jacques Cousteau himself. It still has his stamp right on the side of the tank. What a collectors item! Yet, my friend actually had it tumbled recently to be used again! (you can't even get steel tanks anymore) He got me into diving. What fun! A dream life for me, would be to manage aquariums in a tourist setting and guide dive on location. Some day, it might just come true!

I will always enjoy this hobby. I've had many different tanks. Many different type of ecosystem aquariums, tank sizes & equipment set ups. My largest in home tank was a 250(fresh) The most I've ever had running at one time were 7. I've had 5 reef aquariums over the last 10 years. 75,60,125,another 125, and a 90 (gallons respectfully). After staying put in the same couple places for years, I eventually ended up moving a couple times in the last 4 years for family reasons. Sadly, those times I had given up a few tanks because of ease of move situations.

I've been tankless for a little while. However, currently I am setting up a new peninsula style 90 gal reef tank. It's not the biggest tank I've ever had. But bigger is not always better. Every aquarium has a special unique personality. Making it special. Glad I'm setting up again. But I am probably going to keep it pretty simple and just the one tank in the current situation. With the kids getting older, their schedules, more demanding Work priorities from my employer, and Diving... I just don't have as much time as I used to for multiple tanks. Oh yeah, did I mention.. I work a second part time job cleaning aquariums (over 100 of them) for another business as well.

Anyhow, sorry to ramble on so.. That's me.
Shout out to everyone- Happy Reefing!!!
