    A little less than 10yrs ago I started reading up on marine aquariums and bought a few things to get started. My venture stalled out when I started my own business, and it just became one of those "roundtuit" things that I never got around to. At the time I got a new 55g tank and stand and a few other items. The next thing on my shopping list was a canister filter as the books I read all listed this as a requirement. I'm glad I didn't buy one, as from what I've been reading lately, LR is the way to go. I had already planned on using LR in the past, but thought I had to have a canister filter as well.

    Well I visited a Pet Expo and the Marine Aquarium bug bit me again, and this time I'd like to make it happen. So I'll be reading up on posts and asking TONS of questions I'm sure.

    Thanks all for the welcome. Considering I started getting into this about 10 years ago, I plan to learn from others and take it real slow. I still have plenty to learn and plenty of equip. to buy, so progress will likely be rather slow. A good thing apparently in this hobby!
