Hello, everyone. Looking for a good active forum to help me along my saltwater adventure.

I've been fish keeping for over three years, and I've only dabbled into saltwater, I've kept a dwarf cuttlefish in a 8 gallon nano, for a year. Then when she passed( they only live for 11 months usually. Coolest fish I ever had) then I got seahorses. And had them along with my rays in my 90g freshwater.

I'd still have them if I didn't have an issue towards the end of my lease. Having to sell all my fish wasn't the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Now I'm starting over with my new 55g tank.
So far I'm running a Aqua Clear 110(modding into a refugium sometime this weekend.)
Fluval fx5(just sponges and biomax, just using it mainly for circulation.)
One powerhead(says Powerhead 402, don't know the output.)
Ten pounds of live rock(getting more soon)
    30 pounds of live sand.
    100g heater(don't remember the wattage)

    Livestock:
    1-blue damsel
    1-Green spotted puffer
    1-Spiny Box Puffer
    1-big red hermit crab
    Handful of blue leg hermits

    Future added livestock:
    Snowflake eel
    Some kinda lionfish

I think something's wrong with my Spiny box puffer, the fish store he was at said he was just pissed off because he was in a tank with a dogface, so I left him there. Come to find out, my girlfriend bought him for me for Christmas.
He has this pinkish/purple hue to him. I don't know if it's genetic or what. But he kinda just mopes around at the bottom all day and hardly ever comes up for food. I'll post a picture of him and the rest of my tank.

Advice, criticisms, and general talk is always welcome. :][IMG]

    Hey Welcome to 3reef.

    Cuttle fish, very cool.

I can not comment on the puffer, I have not kept one in years. If it's a concern maybe start a specific thread addressing the puffer.

    :)

Yeah the cuttlefish was the coolest. The way they eat is crazy.
