    Hi all.

I'm about to begin on my journey of a salt water reef aquarium. I've had aquariums for as long as I can remember, but only had freshwater for the most part. Freshwater got pretty boring for me, even with a 100 gallon and breeding colonies and producing more fish than I could handle! I had one previous experience with a saltwater tank in college, which I was pretty ill-informed, un-educated, and lazy with, and tried to do it on no budget. Wanna guess how that turned out? While that experiment ended less than well, I loved saltwater and always wanted to try again the right way.

That brings us to now, and I just sold off my 100 gallon long tank as it didn't fit anywhere in my new house. I found a 90 gallon bow front setup and begun the process of restoring everything and getting it up to the way I want it. I've turned a wet/dry into a berlin, I've begun cleaning everything, resealing the stand, building a canopy, the list goes on.... I love projects, and am a tinkerer for the most part, and am excited to start a saltwater tank again. I spend alot of nights reading way too much information on this and other boards, and it has been a great start. Thanks everyone for all your valuable info for what is already here and what I'm sure I will be asking in the future.

Wish me luck, I'm sure you'll see some more posts from me as I continue!

    Welcome to 3reef.

The fact you even know what a Berlin systems is puts you ahead of the game.
