    I just wanted to say Hi! I have 90g that I used for Discus then African cichlids for about 6 years. I am now turning it into what I have always wanted but could not do due to apartment living, a REEF. I have been reading threads here for months now so I decided to join. I am acquiring all I need paycheck by paycheck. So I will be posting from time to time. Thanks to all of you with experience and knowledge.

    Thank you, I beleive I have learned more here than in most books. Books don't tell you about the crazyness of planning a reef tank. Here I get a more everyday type senarios and experience before I go through it.

    Many times, hands on experiences and others peoples experiences go along way in helping you to be successful in the saltwater hobby, more so than by reading books. However, I wouldn't downplay the benefits of reading and research.

    You can also learn many little tricks that books don't have, only with experience, and this is a great place to share them.
