    Hello,

My name is Tom and I am not new to saltwater, but being a member of the US Coast Guard makes it hard to keep a tank up and running for more than a few years. Then it's break it down and off to the new station. I have a 46 gal bow front that has been up and running for about 3 months so far. I'm sitting with about 35 lbs of live rock and 20 lbs Argonite, with about 10 lbs of Argonite in my just completed DIY 10 gal Refugium. I am also running a Fluval 304. I have a DIY skimmer that works well, but I am working on a new down draft unit and will have it completed in a few days. For light I am running 2x 96w CPs. I will be getting a 175 MH in the near futrue and will start on a new hood for my tank, using all three lights and maybe more if it doesn't look right to me, we will see. All this while remodeling the kitchen for my wife.

    Live stock:

    1 Yellow Tang
    4 Bi-colored Damsels
    8 Turbo Snails
10 Hermit Crabs, maybe, it is hard to tell for sure, but that is what I bought.

Hello again and thanks for having me.

    Tom

Welcome to 3Reef! Have any pics? What design is your downdraft? Is it pump or overflow fed. I am waiting for my acrylic to make mine.
