    Hello everyone!
I am having a problem with my tank. I have a 55 g tank with a hammer, candy cane, and what i was told is a fox coral, a small yellow colony polyp and a starburst. Last wkend I purchased a colt coral and a bubble coral which I was told would be fine with my other corals. Within 24 hrs the colt started to "melt", I read up on it and I guess I shouldnt have mixed these guys together bc of chemical warfare issues. Has anyone else had this happen? All my levels are at zero. Also my bubble coral got this brown slime on it iIthought it was my slime algae coming back but i read this is probably brown jelly disease. I have never heard of this before, if that is indeed what is goin on is it contagious to my other corals?

I have a Colt that does that. I have two stocks on the same rock and one or the other will just "melt" while the other is standing tall. I don't know why, they just kinda do their own thing.

I left it in there untill yesterday it had this nasty mucus coming off of it which i was told was toxic to my other corals. When i got home from work it had detached from the rock and dropped a bunch of branches. What other corals do you have in your tank? I am afraid to add anything new now for fear of losing them.
Have you heard of that brown jelly disease before?

the bubble probably does have brown jelly, it happens if it is injured while in transit or at the lfs. You can treat it by using an iodine dip. I use lugol's solution.
