Most decent LFS's will take in stock. You should hold off on all anemone's till the tank has been running for at least 8-12 months. You dont want them to die in the tank. Belive me, I have walked that road, and it aint pretty

either .5 to 2 inches or over 5 inches if you want a dsb

i like mine to be a inch or less. sand is one of those things its hard to see how it effects things until a couple years in

All the levels were perfect according to the test kit. That was until we put the new items in. The nitrates, nitrites, ph, and ammonia went up a little bit. I'm not sure about all of that. My boyfriend and brother do the testing. The salt level is fine. The temp stays around 78-80.

The domino damsel keeps fluttering on the base and the edge of the anemones tentacles. He is open, kind of behind beside the rock. He doesn't seem to be bothered by it now.

So should we get the new lights and try the anemones out? Or should we go ahead and try to get the LFS to trade out?

I would take them back and get the new lights. Try them out again when the tank matures

i think you should get new lights and take the anemones to the lfs until and wait a couple months. a dying anemone is quite a mess.

The carpet anemone seems to be doing fine. He is still behind the rock, but he is open. The rock anemone(I think) is still underneath the rock. He moved it a little more last night. Almost knocked the umbrella mushroom off again. Will this damage him? We are getting the new lights today. Also going to talk to the lfs to see what he says. Don't know what his policies are on trading stuff out like that. We purchased the items from saltwaterfish.com.
