    Hi everyone!

I will be a brand new aquarium owner as of tomorrow. I'm getting a deluxe 14g Oceanic Biocube that comes with some live rock, sand and one crab :) I am very excited to get it up and running over the weekend. I've been working with freshwater fish since May of 2008 and have a few friends with 40 and 55g marine tanks to learn from. There will be some pictures posted of my Biocube as soon as I get it up and running, as well as some photos once it has cycled.

The preliminary plans are to have two clowns (true or false percs, or picassos would be nice!), a bright bubbletip anemone for them to host on, a sixline wrasse and a cleaner shrimp. I will definately be getting some corals once my tank parameters are established.

Sorry about the long thread; I'm just really excited! You'll be hearing from me soon!

    Kip

    Hi and welcome!
Be prepared for a wait on that anemone, they shouldn't be added till the tank is about a year old, and require strong lighting (more than stock biocube).

Hello and welcome aboard:beer: Good luck on the set-up and we expect pictures! Try and stay away from the anemone like Packleader said.....chances are that it will just die off and possibly hurt you tank if it does.

Welcome!! Cant wait to see some pics.. Me and my husband wanted to get one of those biocubes.. We liked them because it had everything in it.. :).. I agree with everyone wait with the anemone.. I got one when my tank was about 4 months old and it died.. I thought everything was good for it but my tank was just simply too young.. I was told to wait about 6months to a year before getting one of those little creatures.. but that was said after mine had died.. :(.. Anyway.. welcome again..!! :D

Karma for a good start and goodluck. It's the deluxe edition so it should be fine for most anything you can fit in there.

Hello Kip, and welcome to 3reef from the Pacific Northwest-Salem,Oregon. This is the best reef forum on the web. Everyone here is friendly, we're all eager to learn, and share the experience along the way. LOTS of information in the FAQ, be sure to check that out. My tank is only 5 months old, so I'm not that far ahead of you. And I still remember the excitement of getting my tank, so I know how you feel. I feel that same excitement when I get something new! So..... GO SLOW AND WATCH IT GROW and enjoy every minute of it;D
