    Hello out there!

I have been lurking in the dark shadows around here for a couple of weeks now. Pretty informative place you have here. Hope you do not mind I stole a couple of cold ones from the fridge.

I am in San Angelo, Tx. Only one LFS here. Of course the petco is here, but they are about worthless when it comes to anything that is more than a sentence with the words in it.

I started out with a tank from them, was given to me as a gift for Christmas three years ago. Was enough to get me started, and to make me know there was a need for something bigger and better.

I had the tank going well until I got impatient and overstocked it. Not taking the time to study up, I made some pretty bad mistakes. Did not realize at the time there was more to it than water and adding fish. Made lots of grand mistakes, would of been cheaper to attend college.

In July of 2007 I set up another tank, the 100 gal that I have today. Took it slow with it. Talked with a couple of fish stores in towns that I traveled to. Purchased a Rena filstar XP3 to go with it, then decided to wait on much more till the budget tree grew a bit more. Slowly I added more equipment including a clearwater super skimmer, MH lighting, and PHs. About two months ago I moved into Coral with a leather being the first. Bought it at about two inches in diameter and today it is about 8 inches. Have added a little more coral along the way. Now I have a BTA and LTA, along with a clam.

Along the way I learned to take it slow, check the water, and wait a little more. While I am no expert, I have learned much along the way. Still learning each day. I appreciate all the authors of the posts that I have read here that I have helped save some of the little guys in my tank. Hope to be an asset to your community.

Trying to get you some pics, but the puter and I are having a heated debate on getting it done.

This is the 10 gal. I also have a 30 gal, but it is hidden behind a wall of yuk.

This is a major project when it comes to the work load due to the size. This tank is actually about 13 months old now.
