hello, i have been reading the forums here for a couple weeks and was impressed by the knowledge here so i decided to join. i have been keepen fish for about 8 yrs, got into saltwater about 5 yrs ago and then got into reefs about 3 or 4 yrs ago. right know i have a 125 gal tank that is slowley turning into a reef tank(if i had the money it would already be a reef tank). it has been setup for 5 yrs. it has gone through many diff phases. origanlly it was a shark and ray tank, then it went to aggressvive fish, and now it mainly has reef freindly fish, except for an octopus(he ain't gonna be there much longer). i have had a couple reef tanks, but had to take them down for various reason(my original got fried, litterly, when the legs holding the light fix broke and the fix fell into the tank:eek:, a very rough way to be woke up at 3 in the morn).

tank info: ag 125gal w/ overflows, mag dr 12 for return, not sure what brand sump is but it is a 3ft x 1ft x 1ft, i have about 15lbs lr in sump, aclump of chatem with a pc light on 24/7, a g2 skimmer, i don't remeber how much ls and lr i have in display, but at least 125 lbs of lr and the sand is around 2 in+, i have have 4 powerheads of a couple diff brands( they r in the process of being upgraded). it has reg flourscent lighting(atinic) with 2 175wt mh(mogul bases)(planing on upgraden lights to either t5 w/ mh or just t5 haven't decided yet) i have about a dozen or so green chromis, a yellow tang that has been in there for 3 yrs, a bicolor dottyback, a clark clown, a yellow wacthman gobie that lives in the right overflow, copperbanded butterfly, a clarks clown(did have a pair but the octo got the smaller one)and various hemits and snails, and a octopus that is on thin ice. i also have a small colony of zoos and a couple leather corals that it seems can't die.
