I have a serious problem with my freshwater convict and pink cichlids. I have about 30 adult maybe 35 in an 80 gal. 8 sided tank. I'm taking care of them for a person who did not want to take on this huge problem. these fish have ick or something and have had it for months. I'm at a total loss on exactly what to do to make them better. these fish have been very mistreated and i just want to try and fix them before they die. I have a pond set up in my livivngroom about 376 liters big. should i use this to put the fish in so i can clean the dirty dirty dirty tank they live in now? HELP PLEASE:-[

you need to figure out exactly what disease they have? we can help with a picture

is this pond cycled, could it support that many fish. is it heated?
are there fish in it? if yes you would be infecting them.

personally i think a 50% water change would be a start for the tank.

what are the parameters of the tank. we need more information about the tank and fish to help.
