    Hey, im new names Kristen, and im from Massachusetts, just started a tank yesterday i have 2 electric yellow cichlids and a australian blue lobster(crayfish). right now im using a 10 gallon until next week, then i will buy a 30-50 gallon. If anybody body has any suggestions or tricks for problems that i can avoid later down the road i would love them, also i cant find any good info on the blue lobster does anyone have any experience with them????

    well one thing that you will want to know about the crayfish and the cichlids is that they like to move decorations around and uproot plants or fake plants. try to get decorations and plants with a deep or large base that won't be able to move very easily. and don't crowd too many cichlids into one tank. the more there are, the more aggressive they will get.

    Not true. The most common method of controlling cichlid behavior is to 'overstock' the aquarium. This disperses the aggression as opposed to letting one or two poor fish receive the brunt of the bullying. Of course, only overstock if your filtration system is up to the job.
