    Hey just wanted to say hello to everyone i am new to the salt aquarium world and got a great deal on a tank already set up with a few fish. so any advise that could be thrown my way is greatly appreciated :)


    ps i have a 38 gal bow front with a under tank vera filter and one 830 gph power head and the typhoon skimmer /w 30lb of live rock one yellow tang two urchins 10 turbo snails and 6 grabs and an algae problem which i bought the grabs and snail to help with well see you all around.

    Sounds like you're off to a good start. Are you planning on going fowlr or reef with it? What kind of lighting did it come with?

    I would add some more dry rock before adding anything else to get the bio-filtration up to par.

    Welcome to 3reef Chuck and be prepared to catch some slack about the yellow tang being in that small of a tank.Sorry,but true,they love their swimming room and will be stressed if cramped up and this could lead to ick,for which tangs are very prone.
