    Hi, I am Kuksi long time admirer of fish tanks first time keeper(owner).
    I have a 30 gal tank
    equipment: filter (penguin 200), heater, and now a protein skimmer(60g HOB from odyssea).

    12 lb of live rock and crushed coral on the bottom also some shells and dead rock, plastic plants.

    I have a chromis, an African fire fish and two yellow goby all have nick names but I will not bore you with that. I also have two blue legged crabs and two snails.

    I had the live rock for a while >1 month and stuff is growing on it and so I stare at it for hours.
    At the moment I am dealing with two issues: brown algae since I introduced more light, and the skimmer set up.

    we need pics, what type of lighting? how long has the tank be up 1month? no extra powerhead pumps inside tank?
