    Hey guys,

    Thanks so much!

I've got some options now, and will get on those blasted things.

I can definitely say that injecting lemon juice DOES NOT WORK!
I am a neonatal RN, and believe me, I know how to give an injection with a tiny needle.
I hit at least 20 of them, and not one of the little buggers died!

    Thanks again!!!

kalkwasser has never failed me.you mix it into a paste and squirt it onto the aiptasia.if it closes, just cover it with the paste.it melts them into nothing instantly.if you don't have something to squirt it with,i use a seringe with a wide opening.then you can mix it thicker and just dab a bit over the aiptasia.they wil not survive it.leave the paste there.it won't hurt anything.if you have hundreds then you may want to do one area at a time rather than putting a bunch of kalkwasser in your tank at once but if you mix it thick it should'nt mix with the tank water.it will,i repeat it will kill it.

I have had a lot of success with peppermint shrimp I had a ton of aptasia when I started my 120 gal Reef and I went out and bought 6 peppermint shrimp ( little ones) they ate all of it gone with no effort on my part. Now a year and a half later I never see any aptasia and whenever I see one crop up in a few days its gone . The peppermint shrimp have gotten much bigger are pretty looking and they are constantly having babies which are a great natural food source in the reef in my opinion plus they are excellent scavengers So win win go for a half doz peppermints you will be very satisfied and get smaller ones if possible. 8)

I have had no issues with my peppermints all of the inverts will walk across corals now and then and the corals close up but none of them do anything harmful to them.
